District Governor Paulette’s Post – December 2021
What happened to our Fall – “baby it’s cold outside” – well some mornings are a little nippy! We hope that you and yours enjoyed a special Thanksgiving together and didn’t eat too much turkey.
November was a very busy and fun month visiting several clubs and having the honor of being guest speaker at the Charter Night celebration for the Erwin Lions Club. Thanks to the Dandridge, Karns, Knoxville East, Knoxville Tri-County, Maryville and Norris Lions for the warm hospitality I received during my visits with them. These are some of our hardest working clubs serving their communities and we appreciate all that they do.
We are off and running with our December 7th Operation Inasmuch Food Packing event. We hope all clubs will be able to participate one way or another!
December is a festive month with celebratory gatherings but let’s all remember those in need and continue serving and helping others as they struggle just getting by day to day. If you or your club participate in any special events, please remember to share these stories with the News & Views. We love to see our Lions “Serving from the Heart”!
A quick plug for the District 12N Convention February 18-19 at the Holiday Inn West in Knoxville. Remember, it is a Hawaiian theme and we will have lots of great entertainment and fun. The registration form is available HERE.
Chuck and I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
Yours in Lionism,
-DG Paulette Bailey
