District Governor Frank’s Message – January 2024
Organizational Planning
As I sit here and reflect upon this past year, then it should be one of gratitude. There were things that went right, things that did not go as planned and some things that happened in a positive way. I would like to start 2024 and encourage all clubs to start planning and setting goals that match their intentions.
This is the time we must form committees to help set up service projects, fundraisers, membership, or elections. A better portion of clubs already have people serving on committees. If there is a new member, now is the time to get them involved. Remember, new members mean innovative ideas. This is a valuable benefit.
Seek out new or different service projects or fundraisers to better serve your community. Change up the service projects by going in another direction. You will be amazed at the positive reaction from the community, and it also shows something else your club can do when recruiting new members.
Elections of officers are approaching. Clubs go with the same officers and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Depending on the size of the club, there may not be a choice. But again, we can also have different officers. Our district does have a Global Leadership chair who offers new officer training. This gives your club another benefit.
In 2024 your club can make major accomplishments, but it is up to you to make the difference.
Yours in Lionism,
DG Frank McCall
