Environmental Service Project

In April our lions club members turned out and participated in our environmental service project. By the end of our efforts, we were proud to have collected and packed over 1,800 pounds of eyeglasses for our district project. Each pair represents more than just a recycled item—it offers clearer vision, greater independence, and new opportunities for someone in need.

This initiative reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship. By reusing eyeglasses, we reduce waste while making a direct, positive impact on people’s lives. It’s a powerful example of how small contributions can add up to something truly meaningful.

Club members worked together to sort, clean, and pack donations, sharing both teamwork and purpose along the way. Environmental Week reminded us that caring for the planet and serving others can go hand in hand.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this success. Together, we are making a difference—helping the environment while improving lives, one pair of glasses at a time.
