District Governor Brandon’s Share – March 2019
Lions,
I am finally decompressing after our District Convention and…WOW. What a great District 12-N Lions Clubs Convention!
Here’s some quick highlights:
- More than 200 attendees, nearly doubling our average past attendance. Guests came from 15 different states!
- Recognition of North America’s FIRST 200% Model Club – the Knox TriCounty Lions!
- Eight incredible guest speakers for the weekend, including Past International President & LCI Administrator Frank Moore.
- Inducting my incredibly supportive girlfriend into our association.
I can’t thank everyone enough for helping to make our convention so historic! None of this would have been possible without the incredible work of our convention chair, Diane Wilkerson. Her husband Fred, Lions Kathy and Norvell Burrows, and the Sevier County Lions Club all deserve some extra appreciation for their hard work. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate District Governor-Elect Carol McDonald, 1VDG-Elect Millie Burke, and 2VDG-Elect Paulette Bailey on their elections. Having an all female Governor team is something to be proud of! These three Lions will lead our District to even higher levels than we have achieved this year.
I do want to remind everyone that while I may be a “lame duck” Governor now, I am still willing to come and support your clubs! I have several clubs that I have plans to visit for a second, third, or even forth time in the coming months! I look forward to finishing the rest of this Lions year strong, and setting some more historic milestones for the Lions of East Tennessee.
