District Governor Brandon’s Share – April 2019
Lions,
March was an incredible month for Lions in our State. From the District Convention to lots of club visits, it’s been one for the books. Our District has been doing great in service, leadership, and membership. We are currently about to grow considerably in membership, as the West Knox Lions Club has been working on chartering a Campus Club at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. By the time you read this message, we will be hosting a special guest in our District – PDG Paul Baker from Canada. Known globally as the “Campus Club Guy”, Lion Paul is the foremost expert on chartering these types of groups. I want to applaud Guiding Lions PDG Jim McFarland and West Knox Lions Club President Mike Walker, as well as their team, for working so hard to charter this group.
I just returned yesterday from some statewide training for our incoming District Governors. DGE Carol McDonald represented our District very well, and was both eloquent and prepared in her speeches. I know we are about to have an incredible year under her leadership. I am excited to share with you all that the incoming District Governors elected me to serve as Council Chair. In this position, I will chair the Council of Governors for our State. This is a huge honor for me, and will only be the 7th time that someone from District 12 N has ever served in this position.
I am looking forward to finishing this year strong, and having a new challenge next year.
Yours in Service,
-Brandon
