District Governor Paulette’s Post – November 2021
I’m loving the crisp Fall mornings and changing colors of the season!
I was not able to visit too many clubs this month but a big thank you to the Clinton, Kingston, Knox County North and Sevier County Lions Clubs for their hospitality and sharing their activity stories during my visits. Our clubs are busy serving their communities and your DG Team is very proud and grateful!
November is Diabetes Awareness month and the LCI website, www.lionsclubs.org, has a myriad of great resource materials available regarding holding a strides walk, diabetes screenings, project ideas, Diabetes camps, fact sheets and various grants.
Several things are coming down the pike such as “Operation Inasmuch” (our District Food Packing Project, December 7th at the Hangar in Sevierville), the LLR (Lions Learning Retreat, January 21-23, 2022), District 12N Convention (February 18-20, 2022 – Hawaiian theme) and TLLI (TN Lions Learning Institute – March 24-27, 2022)! Volunteer information and registration forms are forthcoming. We hope you will consider participating in some or all of these events!
Keep up the great work you are doing for your communities and if your club is struggling and feels they need some extra help, please contact your DG Team – DG Paulette at ladipee@gmail.com, 1VDG Rich at richwilson2011@yahoo.com or 2VDG Fred at charlydog1985@yahoo.com and we will get you the help you need.
Yours in Lionism,
-DG Paulette Bailey
