District Governor Rich’s Post – July 2022
‘BETWEEN THE LIONS’
It is 100 degrees outside with 125% humidity. Everyone is at the lake or at the pool grilling or enjoying fresh corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, or peppers from the garden. It is 9:00 PM and it is still daylight! There is only one thing to say:
‘Happy Lions New Year!’ I returned from LCICon 104 in Montreal last week having taken the DG oath for 2022-2023. It was great to share this occasion with 4 of the 5 Tennessee DGs in person. Yes, in person, something that we take for granted but has not happened due to COVID.
I had the honor of riding on the Ober Gatlinburg float that stepped off at midnight (being the first in the country) last night celebrating our nation’s independence on July 4th!
I look forward to visiting everyone in District 12N along with attending your meetings and special projects during the year. Please contact me personally (865-321- 0903) to schedule. Trust me – I am not shy – so I might just show up without an invite.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with International President Brian Sheehan’s info that I forwarded in the email blast July 4th. Please think of projects and how your club will exemplify our theme this year: ‘Together We Can.’
– til later…
DG Rich Wilson
