Hello Lions,

This will be my last News and Views message as District Governor. Thank you all for making this year a year to remember. We have accomplished many great things together. I am so amazed at how many New Members you have invited to join your Clubs. Lions serve and membership is key to our success. It is great to be a Lion and it is great to invite someone to be a Lion.

Welcome Knoxville Downtown Lions Club to our District. LCI has issued a club number and we are awaiting final approval. This New Club will be the first Centennial Chartered Club in the state. Thanks to Lion Dr. Ray Lipps for signing thirteen of the twenty New Members for this club. Thanks to PDG Jim McFarland and 2nd VDGE Brandon Johnson for serving as our Guiding Lions. Many thanks go out to West Knox Club for sponsoring this New Club, and to PDG Dave Crawford for supporting our efforts.

Congratulations to DGE Paulette Bailey as she begins her year as District Governor this July. Paulette has worked hard to prepare herself to be your DG, and will serve you well. 1stVDGE Adam Bowling and 2ndVDGE Brandon Johnson will be helping and learning as they prepare for their year as DG.
