It’s a wonderful time to be a Lion! Lions are known for being caring, selfless, compassionate, considerate, giving, going above and beyond and much more – all adjectives that describe aspects of a Humanitarian. And Yes, there are many humanitarians within District 12-N. Whether you are an experienced Lion or a new Lion – I see the glow in your eyes when sharing how Lions are meeting the needs in our communities.

I hear stories of Lions “doing the right thing, especially when there is a need” and “getting the job done”. Lions know what needs to be done and get it done sometimes in a fast and furious way and then maybe, at times, a little slower with eyes on the goal.

Let’s take time to pause and thank another Lion often for SERVING. Let’s take time to reflect and remember – Lions are known to bond together as WE SERVE. Let’s remember birthdays (especially those big ones), special occasions, anniversaries etc. as we continue this journey of SERVICE. Yes, we have business meetings to conduct and strategic goals to achieve. Let’s enjoy the journey as we “Take Flight to Make our Mark”.

We are already planning for the 2025 Convention and I could not be more excited as Past International President Brian Sheehan will be our opening and keynote speaker. He is an inspirational, dynamic speaker and reminds us often that Lions are AWESOME.

I look forward to visiting District 12-N clubs and meeting many more District 12-N Lions.
