District Governor Carol’s Message – February 2020
Roar Lions,
December was a quiet month for me. Only one club to visit. January started the same way, but it has really amped up with the District convention just around the corner.
Entertainment for Friday night will be Aaron T “Music on the Go”. Some of you will remember him from last June’s A Day With the Lions Reverse Raffle. I have something to do for people while they were standing around waiting for this or that, and I think I have found something most of you will enjoy. The hospitality room will try to serve some gluten free and low carb snacks as well the usual sweets.
There’s so much to remember. So just in case your memory is as bad as mine here are a few reminders and some additional ideas too. Remember to bring white socks for our District project. All sizes are needed. Remember some walking shoes for the Lions Vocational Blind Industries tour. Saturday night banquet is a dress up affair, wear what you would wear to church or on a date. Bring your club banner and stand and your club display board, items for the
silent auction and money to spend on those one of a kind items you might find. Bring your smile.
The most important thing to remember is to get your registration in and if you plan to stay overnight reserve your room. Sooner than later is best.
Can’t wait to see you there.
