District Governor-Elect Brandon’s Share – June 2018
Lions,
As I write you now, I am in Las Vegas taking the final training to serve as District Governor. I’m joining 741 fellow Lions from across the globe who are also taking on this challenge, and proudly serving under the first female International President.
Since I wrote you last, my travels have been PACKED!
I spent a good deal of time with the Powell Lions, who have done a great job of recruiting new, young members. I was honored to attend their annual 5K and install their officers. And no, I didn’t run!
The Sevier County Lions and the Tri-County Lions also let me install their incoming leaders. Trust me when I say that our district is in great hands with club presidents like these!
I spent a causal Friday night attending a new project of the Fountain City Lions and was blown away. Their club has started a “Concert in the Park” that’s bringing hundreds of attendees. What a great way to fellowship and show others that Lions have FUN!
Other highlights of the last few weeks include helping the Oak Ridge Lions when they set up at the Secret City Festival, and attending the Karns Lions Low Country Boil.
If there is a club event that I can attend with your club, please let me know. I’m here to support your club, your goals, and your service!
In Lionism,
DGE Brandon
