District Governor Paulette’s Post – September 2021
Phew – Hot enough for you – Bring on the Fall!
Hitting the road, I have visited 10 more clubs – Bulls Gap, Campbell County, Erwin, Fountain City, Johnson City, Kingsport, Knoxville Diversified, Morristown-Hamblen, Oak Ridge and Tellico Village. A BIG THANK YOU to all for your warm hospitality and sharing the amazing service projects you do for your communities! Clubs are so happy to once again be out serving others! Keep up the great work!
Chuck and I also enjoyed a visit with the Clinton Lions Club celebrating their 80th (81st) Anniversary at the Appalachian Museum – what a great evening with all kinds of festivities including a Melvin Jones Presentation, the Induction of two new Lions members and the presentation of two Quilts of Valor!
One of the things that really touched my heart was attending PDG Clare Crawford’s Zone E meeting where all in attendance shared their passions and most favorite service project. You could tell everyone enjoys doing service! And, that’s what we as Lions are all about! Thanks for your service and your stories.
As always, please remember to keep your contact information updated with your Club Secretary and report the service activities you do regardless of how large or small – every little act of kindness matters!
Yours in Lionism,
-DG Paulette Bailey
