Thank you 12N Lions!  What a great start to our year – your support at the Organizational meeting was greatly appreciated with 46 Lions representing 21 clubs being present. Woo hoo – We are chartering a new club – the Erwin Lions Club – stay tuned for “Charter Night Celebration” information in the near future. The hospitality and support I received during my club visits to Oneida, Union County, Rogersville, Elizabethton, Johnson County and Inskip Lions Clubs warms my heart. It is so great to be able to visit our clubs in person!

Other than enjoying the greatest reward of all – SERVING OTHERS – the District Governor has the honor of recognizing others for their exceptional service. If you were not at the Organizational Meeting, you missed PDG Wendy Cain receiving a “Heart of a Lion” medal for continuing years of above and beyond service for the Lions and the pride of District 12N as she represents all of us this year serving as Chairman of the USA/Canada Forum in Des Moines, IA. Also receiving “Heart of a Lion”  Medals were Debbie Shipley and PDG Ed Gibbons for their valiant efforts to build a Lions Club in Erwin, TN.  You too can have me award one of my “Heart of a Lion” medals to someone you feel is deserving. The  individual should be one who serves from the heart with no expectations in return!
