District Governor Millie’s Memo – November 2020
Dear District 12N Lions,
I hope everyone is having a great autumn. It has been wonderful weather for outdoor activities and I know a number of Clubs have been taking advantage of the opportunities to have fundraisers and be noticed in their communities and I Thank all of you for what you are doing.
I wish to send a special Thank-you to the Clinton Lions and Past President Fred Miller for doing an outstanding job of reporting their service activities on MyLion. In fact, they excelled and were one of the top 20 clubs reporting service in Constitutional area 1. Lion Fred Miller was recognized for this by International
President Choi with a Leadership Medal. The Clinton Lions Club is twenty members strong and has proven that small Clubs can indeed be Mighty. Congratulations to
all of the Clinton Lions!! I encourage all Clubs to report their service on MyLion and your Club could be recognized for reporting service this Lions year 2020-2021.
I would like to present to the District Richard Wilson of the Sevier County Lions Club as the newly appointed 2nd Vice District Governor. Please all, welcome Rich and I am sure he is going to help make the Clubs in District 12N stronger with his ideas and resources. Welcome aboard Rich, I look forward to working with you.
This brings me to two things we really need your help with. The District is applying for a LCIF Community Impact grant and Rich is working with Operation Inasmuch for a District food packing project. We will be sending more information about both of these in the near future as we are currently working on details and logistics, so PLEASE read the emails we will be sending so your Club can be involved to help those in need.
Sincerely,
Millie Burke, DG
