District Governor’s Message – October 2015
From the DG’s Desk
Hello, fellow Lions. How great it is to be a Lion! Now that school is in session, eye screenings are in full swing. Children across our communities are receiving help with vision needs, all thanks to you Lions of 12-N. Many other community projects are in the works, such as Lions ballfields, handicap playgrounds, rehab exercise stations along a walking trail, park benches, and school supplies being deliver. Wow! It’s great to be a Lion!
Membership is on the positive, but could use a big push. I encourage all Lions of 12-N to do your best to find those Lions out there who haven’t joined our great organization. Let folks know what we are doing, and ask them to join your club. Share the rewards of serving with others!
Thank you Lions Clubs Karns, North Knox County, Maryville, Oak Ridge and Oneida for your hospitality. Club visits are exciting, and a pleasure I will not forget. Even more club visits scheduled for October, and I sure am looking forward to it.
I also would like to give a special thanks to Lions Dave Crawford and Jim McFarland for the great work they are doing for our district. Halloween is just around the corner. Hope you receive more treats than tricks!
