District Governor Millie’s Memo – October 2020
Dear District 12N Lions,
First, I wish to thank all of the District 12N Lions for being so proactive during the Covid 19 pandemic. I am very encouraged that Clubs are staying active by continuing to meet be it in person or Zoom, Clubs are serving their Communities safely in a variety of ways, and Clubs are forging on holding fundraisers. All of this goes to show that the
Lions of District 12 N serve and care for one another and the people they help. Keep up the GREAT work you are all doing and share your stories with the rest of the District by sending articles to News & Views. If you need ideas or help PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out to us and we will do our best to help you achieve your goals.
Second, I am asking for Lions to consider stepping up to serve as 2nd Vice District Governor. PDG Michael Vudragovich has the guidelines listed later in this newsletter. We initially were looking for candidates to be considered at the District 12 N Convention February 19 and 20, 2021. Now due to the recent resignation for personal reasons of 2nd VDG Mike Walker, we will need to fill the remainder of his term as well. Please contact me, Michael Vudragovich or Paulette Bailey for more information concerning job duties and/or prerequisite service needed to be considered for this position. Looking toward the future the District really is encouraging interested people to gain the needed skills to help keep the Clubs in District 12N strong by having people move into leadership positions. Thanks so much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Millie Burke, DG
