The Norris Lions Club will be having their annual Turkey Shoot to raise funds for their community projects.

The Turkey Shoots will be held on the following Saturdays: Nov. 5, Nov. 12, and Nov. 19 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. each day in the lot adjacent to the Meadowview Assisted Living on Route 61, east of I-75 (Clinton-Norris Exit).

Funds raised from the Turkey Shoots provide:
- A four-year scholarship for an Anderson County High School student each year
- Sponsorship of the Leo Club at Anderson County High School.
- Sponsorship of the Middle School Peace Poster Contest (an International Contest for youth ages 11-13 years).
- Eye screening in the elementary schools.
- Eye exams and glasses for those who cannot afford glasses.
- Community service projects (Pavilion, flags, Norris Day, school trips)
- Nine area sight and hearing projects
- World-wide sight conservation
