News from Lions Volunteer Blind Industries

On March 19, 2018, in Projects, by 12-N Lions

A change in political climate has increased the demand on Department of Defense items needed from our customer, the Defense Logistics Agency. Our military textile items are at the highest levels since 2011. We are currently producing items for the Army, Marine Corp, and Navy. With the current demand, we have jobs available. So if you know anyone who is visually impaired or blind who wants to work, contact our HR department 4235863922 ext. 117, or tracey.johnsonwebb@volblind.org.

Every April, LVBI hosts the Board of Governors meeting at our facility in Morristown. Each club President and our current Board of Directors make up the Board of Governors. This years meeting will be held on April 26th at 6:00, please RSVP to Michele Love at Michele.love@volblind.org . A meal will be served, please RSVP if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly. At this meeting, FY 2019 Board of Directors will be voted on. If you cannot attend and would like to give your proxy to the current Chairman of the Board of Directors Keith McCord, please email Michele indicating such.

LVBI would like the opportunity to come and visit your club to give a more indepth update to your members. Please email Michele and schedule a time for one of our employees to visit with your club. Thank you for the support of District 12N and the support you provide our mission.

Trevor Southerland, CEO
