Report from Lion Harry Ennis

Well, once again, the Best of the Lions made the trip to Roanoke for another day of hard work and great fun processing glasses at the Roanoke Eyeglass Recycling Center.

Lions Hubert and Nancy Thompson from South Knox, Shaaron and PDG Jim McFarland from West Knox, Nellie and PDG Dean Harshbarger from Norris, and Lions Harlan Fraser, ZC Edna Longwell, and Harry Ennis from Kingsport upheld the fine tradition of superior hard work from the Lions of District 12-N.

(Actually, we’re not sure how hard PDG McFarland worked, but we won’t mention names….)Lions Shaaron McFarland and Nellie Harshbarger at the Eyeglass Recycling Center in Roanoke on Oct. 29, 2010

Several thousand pairs of glasses were unpacked (Lions Shaaron and Nellie were working very hard, covering for PDG Jim…), and close to a thousand pair of glasses were read and packed ready for distribution.

Once again, Center Manager Merle Hash was amazed at the work accomplished and the willingness of the 12-N Lions to get the job done.Lions Hubert and Nancy Thompson at the Eyeglass Recycling Center in Roanoke on Oct. 29, 2010
