Tennessee Lions Learning Retreat
A Beacon of Hope Through Leadership and Service
The eighth annual Lions Learning Retreat (LLR) will be held January 14-16, 2011 in Manchester, Tennessee. The LLR provides an excellent opportunity for participants to improve their skills in becoming Lion leaders while enjoying the company of the greatest folks in the world.
The Steering Committee is working hard to assure that this will be another in a series of great successes. There will be something for everyone, including an evening of fun and games, great door prizes, a Lion’s Choir, a basket contest, auction, and of course lots of informative seminars.
In keeping with the theme of International President, Sid Scruggs, the theme of the Retreat is “A Beacon of Hope Through Leadership and Service”.
Sixteen to eighteen seminars are being planned with topics such as: The importance of Club Leadership, Leo Clubs, Retention, Awards and Recognition, Conducting Lions Ceremonies, LCIF, The Rewards of District Leadership Roles, State Projects, Use of “social media” to build Lions Clubs.
Speakers/Presenters include: PID John Pearce, PID Bill Watkins, PDG Howard Cook, PDG Dianne Pitts, PDG Ann Hafner, PDG Charlie Hafner, PDG Ken Moffett, PDG Floyd Schriber, Lion Caroline Schriber, PDG Clare Crawford and PDG Wendy Cain.
The registration fees for the LLR are a real bargain and primarily reflect the cost of the meals provided. One change this year is the offering of a Saturday-only registration, which is considerably lower than the registration fee for the full event.
Download the registration form! Don’t delay. . . Early Registration Fees are in effect until November 15, 2010!
District 12-N Governor Bill McDonald has also made arrangements to scholarship first-time attendees! You must register and pay in advance, but will be reimbursed upon attendance.
